 Training Program for Paramedics  Care Services Inaugurated at  ICFAI University

Program to facilitate  entry- level jobs in health care conducted in association with BOSCH

 A three-month long Paramedics  TrainingProgram for imparting entry level skills in healthcare to rural youth was inaugurated at ICFAI University , Jharkhand today. The programis organized by the Universityin association with BOSCH India Foundation. Mr. Manish Kumar, Senior Officer, BOSCH India Foundation,Jharkhand Zone, Ms. Soni and Ms.Shalini from Shree Sai Nursing Training School,Ranchi were the Guests of honouron this occasion. A huge number of  students,aspiring for entry level healthcare services , from  villages around Daladaliparticipated in the program. During the program, all the participants were distributed healthcare training kits.

 Welcoming the participants , Prof O R S Rao, Vice Chancellor of the University said, “In the current times, due to nuclear families , wherein  both spouses are working , there is hardly anyone at home, to take care of after ailing children, old  parents/ in-laws.  While demand for paramedics healthcare serviceslike professional Care Givers , there is lack of trained workforce. In view of this, the ICFAI University , in association with BOSCH India Foundation, started the program to train the rural youth as professional Care Givers. This program aims to impart entry level  healthcare skills , in association with  a Nursing College , besides soft skills.”  “This is yet another initiative of the ICFAI University for Social Outreach Services. We are happy that twenty five youngsters, in the age group of 18-25 years from villages ,surrounding our campus, joined the program. Most of them are girls and school drop-outs and badly need a job .Besides providing livelihood to the rural youth, this program helps to meet  the paramedical needs of the needy sections of the society, thereby giving a lot of satisfaction .”

 Prof. Arvind Kumar, Registrar, highlighted how the program will help inholistic development of the needy youth by way of up-skilling them so that they can build a career in the fast growing healthcare sector. Mr. Manish Kumaradvised the participants  to take advantage of the Care Giver program and build  theircareers. Dr. Gautam Tanty, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Program explained  the road map of the training program and the three phases of training to be covered, which includes one month of on-the-job training.

 The participants expressed happiness that they will be getting an opportunity to build a rewarding  career

Dr. Bijoya Ganguly, Assistant Professor coordinated the program ,with active support from Dr. Sudipta Majumdar and Dr. Subrato Kumar Dey, both Associate Professors of the  University .Dr. Pallavi Kumari, Associate Professor  proposed a vote of thanks.
